  • The Palmgren Deluxe Engine Lathe with 2" Bore is the perfect tool for heavy metal removal and precision fine tolerance turning. It comes with a DRO and glass scales, ensuring operator convenience and accuracy. The headstock provides maximum power for roughing cuts and smooth, quiet power for fine finishing, thanks to its helical precision cut, hardened and ground gears that run in a continual bath of oil. The main spindle is made of high alloy steel and mounted in precision taper roller bearings for added stability and accuracy. The control panel is user-friendly and designed for operator convenience. The wide bed ways are made of stabilized cast iron, ground and hardened for a lifetime of use, while the universal gear box delivers a broad range of feed and thread selections, capable of doing both inch and metric threads. All gears are hardened and the shafts turn on anti-friction bearings for consistent and reliable performance. All Palmgren lathes are built and inspected to the DIN 8606 toolmakers precision lathe standard, ensuring accurate and consistent results. These all-purpose lathes are ideal for turning applications requiring heavy metal removal or precision fine tolerance finishing, and are used in tool rooms, die and mold shops, fabrication shops and maintenance departments.
