For current pricing, demonstrations, availability, or system recommendations:
The Radiodetection LMX200 is a ground penetrating radar (GPR) system designed for subsurface utility engineering and locating. Built to complement traditional electromagnetic (EM) pipe and cable locators, the LMX200 detects both metallic and non-metallic underground infrastructure, including PVC pipes, fiber optic cables, underground storage tanks, and concrete storm systems. It builds on the capabilities of the LMX100, adding Grid Scan mode and the option to use an external GPS for full SplitView and MapView mapping.
What the LMX200 Locates
Metal utilities, including pipes and cables.
Non-metallic pipes, including PVC and asbestos cement.
Concrete storm and sewer systems.
Utilities where installed tracer wiring has failed.
Underground storage tanks and drainage tiles.
Septic system components.
Fiber optic cables.

The LMX200 is used to locate and map underground utilities, storage tanks, septic systems, concrete structures, and other buried infrastructure using Ground Penetrating Radar.
Can the LMX200 locate PVC pipe?
Yes. The LMX200 can detect many non-metallic utilities, including PVC and HDPE pipe, depending on soil and installation conditions.
Does the LMX200 replace an electromagnetic locator?
No. Ground Penetrating Radar complements traditional EM locating by identifying underground features that EM equipment may not detect.
What is Grid Scan?
Grid Scan collects survey data in multiple directions, creating a more complete underground picture for improved target interpretation.
What is SplitView?
SplitView allows users to analyze underground targets from multiple scan directions, increasing confidence when interpreting complex subsurface conditions.
Does the LMX200 support GPS?
Yes. The system supports optional external GPS receivers for accurate georeferencing and GIS workflows.
Can survey data be exported?
Yes. Data can be exported for post-processing, project documentation, archiving, and integration with GIS software.
Who should purchase the LMX200 instead of the LMX100?
Organizations requiring advanced utility mapping, GPS integration, Grid Scan, GIS compatibility, and post-processing capabilities will benefit from the LMX200.
