  • The Palmgren Variable Speed Gear Head Milling Machine is the ideal solution for precision machining operations that require versatility, power, and precision. Its compact design makes it an ideal milling machine for tool rooms, pattern shops, mold and die shops, job shops, fabrication shops, and maintenance departments. With an all gear drive transmission, this milling machine delivers full power at any speed, driving cutting tools at nearly 100% of the available horsepower. It features a high-performance brushless DC motor with permanent current control and a variable speed inverter, providing the broadest range of spindle speeds to fit any application. The milling machine is designed with a rigid box column and hardened, ground, and handscraped dovetail ways, ensuring accurate head positioning with minimum deflection and vibration. The milling head can be tilted right or left up to 90 degrees, offering greater flexibility in angle machining operations. The precision machine tool spindle is equipped with taper roller bearings and a spindle concentricity of .0005" at the spindle nose, delivering precision and accuracy in every cut. The cross slide table is precision ground with T-slots, adjustable limit stops, a scale, and three metal adjusting hand wheels, providing maximum versatility in machining operations.
